Björn Dahlström

Björn Dahlström has worked as a graphic and product designer in the industrial and furniture sector since the mid-1970s doing animation and graphics for film and television production. In 1978 he was employed as Art Director and Graphic Designer for an advertising agency working mainly with printed design.

He started his own company in 1982 concentrating on graphic design for clients like Ericsson, Scania, and Atlas Copco to name a few. Today eighty percent of his work consists of industrial design with a list of clients like Sievert, Atlas Copco, Krups, Playsam, Skeppshult Bicycles, Iittala, Magis, Italy and Lammhults. He has also produced graphic design and animated videos for several of the clients mentioned above.

He has received several international prizes, among them being awarded Excellent Swedish Design several times. In 2001 and 2005 he was a member of the jury for Rote Punkt (2001, 2005), taught as a professor at the University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm (1999 – 2001), and he is currently teaching at the Beckmans School of Design.

Björn Dahlström resides in Stockholm, Sweden and is a member of Swedish Industrial Designers (SID).
